Fourth Grade Science Fair Projects

Fourth grade science fair projects may come in various experiments and ideas to be implemented by kids who are interested in any topics in terms of science. Science projects for 4th graders usually come with a common schema in which kids should be able to describe data in quantitative way. By then kids should do some observations to formulate arguments (usually scientific ones) and they should also engage in scientific debate. All of which need to be done in order so that kids can produce a hypothesis over any problem they had found during experiment. Therefore, the purpose of experiment is that kids should be able to expand their experiment in order to test new variables.
So we would like to show you a few examples of experiments for fourth grade science fair projects.

They are consisting of:

Fourth Grade Science Fair Projects

Prevent explosion of soda

Within such experiment a student have to discover whether tapping the side or the top of the soda-can will stop it from exploding after it shaken. So the main objective is to mess with the logic behind a vigorously-shaken soda can. A student needs to prepare some materials including paper and pen (for notes), a smock or apron, his hand, and a few cans of unopened soda.

Making soap science

It involves the use of soap and students must have a meet with two goals. First is to experiments with the properties and characteristics of soap. Second is to identify how the soap is made (what kind of ingredients used to make one). A student would need these materials: microwave oven, paper towels, bowls of water, 4 bars of soap (from different brand), digital camera, and a computer with internet access.

DIY hovercraft

Use the air power to make a DIY hovercraft stay afloat. This is the main objective of such experiment. As one of fourth grade science fair projects, the project is easy to be conducted. A student needs to prepare medium or small-sized balloon, glue, sports cap taken from a water bottle and an old CD.

The above list will become rather long if we continue, so we decided to give three general examples of project that can be done during science fair. There are many sources of information on the internet which will tell kids how to conduct those experiments with ease. All fourth grade science fair projects above can be done easily by 4th graders and certainly will not harm them.
